Where is Brian going to serve?

Today my brother got his mission papers in the mail. He called Britnie (my sister), very excited, three times (risking his job) to see if anyone was home so they could open his envelope for him. Britnie said, "Just wait until you get home and you can open it yourself." Once home he flew through the door and went straight to the envelope.
He could hardly wait for us to tell him where we thought he would be called to go.

Here were the predictions:
Jason- Mexico
Britnie- State side
Fileshia (cousin)- Japan
Stacie- Norway
Dave- Canada
Mom- Sweden
Dad- Where ever the Lord wants him to go
Spencer (friend)- Montana

Elder Brian Benjamin Card will be serving in SPOKANE, WASHINGTON and he will be covering part of Washington, Idaho and 2-3 towns in Canada. He will enter the MTC April 15. My dad served in Washington and Brian's area is covering part of what my dad's mission covered. It is so sad to know that my little brother is finally old enough to serve a mission. This will be a great experience for him to go serve the lord for 2 years and to grow stronger in the gospel. I will miss him dearly but he will be blessing others and giving someone the gospel that otherwise might not of heard it.

To shave or not to shave

I have needed to blog about my funny, crazy husband. While he was training at work during January, one of his co-workers decided that everyone in his group of friends should grow out their facial hair. When he came home and told me his plan I told him NO! I don't like David with a full beard. Well guess what, he did it anyways. It grew for about 2 weeks before it started to bug him. So one Sunday he decides to cut the beard and leave the mustache. I almost fell over backwards when I saw what he had done with his face. I told him that he wasn't going to church looking like that. He said, "No one will remember what I look like because it's our first Sunday at our new ward." I still couldn't let him do it.
Earlier that day he picked out some pearls for me to wear but didn't want to. So I told him if he shaved before we left, I would wear the pearls. Lucky me Dave shaved his mustache and I wore my pearls.

Lords gift to us

This was taken in Montana at the White Fish Ski Resort in March of last Year.

Soda Springs, Idaho near bear lake. Mom, Brian and I coming home from visiting my grandpa JR in the Hospital at Pocatello, Idaho.

This is a Wolf spider outside of our apt. at Pinnacle Canyon View. We had at least 2 of these in our apt that we killed with our shoes.

This is on the way home from Evanston, Wyoming where Britnie, Spencer, and I spent a Saturday visiting with her.

Britnie, Spencer, Mom, and I went to the Cherry Ridge Farms in Santaquin, Utah. This is where we like to pick our pumpkins for Halloween and have homemade ice cream.

This was just taken last Monday at the Provo Canyon Park. Where Dave, Britnie, Spencer, and his friend Painten and I went sledding.

Happy Birthday...

On Sunday we all gathered around to dish up brownies and Ice Cream. Spencer (my nephew) was so excited he got on the bench and said, "Birthday cake Yum, sing to me." We all stopped what we were doing and sang Happy Birthday to him. His Birthday isn't until March 21st but it was a special day away.
