Life is hard. I had to get a job. I told Dave that I wasn’t wanting to get a job, but I would go to the interview. It has been 4 years since I had an interview and I walked away feeling good about the interview, but expected them to not offer me a job. A day latter I get a call from Mountain View High School offering me the job. I accepted it. It was meant to be. Everything lined up.
I cried for days. I did not want to get a job because the only job I am suppose to do is be a mother. But I know at the same time I need to help and Dave’s work is flexible at this time so he is able to stay at home and be with Ryker from 8-12:30 pm and I come home and Dave leaves for work from 1-5 pm. It is also only for 3 months until school is out.
It is hard every day to leave my little boy at home, but I have enjoyed getting out the house and work with handicaps. They bring so much happiness and the spirit into my life. I am thankful for the Lord helping me to understand that I don’t have control of my life. He is my leader and I must follow him and all things will work out.
While I am at work this is what happens…
When I walk through the door Ryker comes running up and tells me all about his morning playing with his daddy. It makes me smile to know how much they love each other.

This is not how I pictured my life…

Painting
You love to do anything creative. You defiantly got that from your mom. I love to be crafty, but I can’t draw for the life of me. You got the drawing part from Nana, Uncle Brian, and Aunt Britnie they can draw amazing pictures.
I love that little back view. I often wish that you will always stay little.

A party
Saturday March 29th, you and I went to Classic Staking for your friend Ami’s birthday. You guys play so well together at home it is almost like you two are brother and sister sometimes.
I had you color and draw on the brown paper and then we wrapped the present with your art.
Carrying the present.
Ami is 4 years older then you so she was off with other friends. You were the youngest friend there so, I was your friend and followed you around. You are very strong willed. If you first don’t succeed then you try and try again until you do.
We played for an hour on the big playground, climbed a huge slide by yourself and went down with out being scared, and played on the arcade games.
Driving the car was by far your favorite activity. We had 10 tokens and you rode it until they were gone. I had to pry you off when some other kids wanted to ride it and once they were off you ran back and hoped on.
We sang to Ami and ate pizza, fries, cupcakes and icecream. She loved the Skip it toy you gave her.
I had so much fun watching you explore and be a kid. I will always cherish all the times I get to spend with you.

Cookies
Saturday, I was itching to do something different. I was at Dessert Book about a month ago and there was a guy passing out cookies for Cookie Haven. I tasted one and they were pretty good. They have been on my mind since, so, I took you and dad to have cookies and milk.
Our picks…
You: Red Valet cookie
Dad: Toasted Coconut sugar cookie
Mom: Lemon Ice sugar cookie
You surprised us both when you picked red valet. We thought you would choose a sugar cookie.
I asked you to smile and you exclaimed, “I am smiling.”
I love making family memoires with you.

An afternoon trip
Nana needed to go to Lehi to run an errand. She invited us to go with her and Ashley Friday afternoon. After we ran the errand we were right next to Thanksgiving point so we stopped in and walked around the store. You were leading us and before we knew it you found the candy/toy store.
After we had a sample of fudge we found an indoor garden. You had so much fun running around and throwing coins in the pond.
We got some cute pictures of us. Once we were done you started to tickle my face/head while saying, “tickle, tickle, tickle.”
By the time we were done with our errands we were all starving. We ate soup and bread at Kneaders and finished with a dessert. You picked a ginormous Easter egg sugar cookie. You were all smiles after you ate 2 bites.
How lucky you are to have a wonderful Nana that loves you and takes time out of her busy life to spend it with you. You love her and every time I say Nana you get so excited and can’t wait to see her. I hope that this will never change and you will always have a close relationship with her.

A new car
We have decided to down size from our most amazing {our dream car} GMC Acadia SUV to a 2013 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid car since we are not getting pregnant as fast as we like and it will save us money each month.
As we were waiting for the car salesman to finish up some paper work, we were in the toy room and Ryker decides that he is daddy and Dave is Rykeo {how he pronounces his name}. It was absolutely hilarious, Ryker can depict his dad to the T. We were both dying of laughter.
Our new Hybrid blue car {Ryker is growling at the camera.}

Puzzles and Exercising
Your favorite thing to do is puzzles on the IPhone/IPad. I love to sit and watch your figures move the pieces around to the correct places. When you finish the puzzle you yell, “I did it!” Then I’ll clap for you and exclaim, “ I am so proud of you.”
Dad was exercising before he headed out to run. You wanted to join in. You are pretty good at balancing on one foot and you thought it was hilarious to hold on daddy’s leg.

Cat Sitting
You have been asking for a cat almost every day. Aunt Britine gave us the opportunity to watch their cat while they got ready to move.
You loved playing with Diesel. You would follow him, wrap him up in his blanket, feed him every morning, and help aunt Britnie clean the kitty litter.
Diesel had a lot of times where he would get really frisky, he would do this constantly: start at the top of the stairs and fly down landing in the blinds downstairs. If you were on the floor he would leap up on you and put you in a head lock.
You were put in the head lock a couple of times and since then, you would run or back away if Diesel came anywhere near you.
While having family prayer, you would pray to have a cat with no sharp claws or sharp teeth. You were traumatized.
Pictures taken by you while we fed the cat.
Needles to say, you/we are still looking for that perfect cat with no sharp teeth or claws.
