Ringing in the New Year with cheese, broth, and chocolate fondues. After eating a lot of food, we played Wii bowling, face-timed with Spencer, then counted down to the New Year at 8 pm with noise makers and sparklers. We are ready to see what 2017 brings.

Let It Snow! Let it Snow!
It snowed again and this time it dumped for a couple of days and the nights with temperatures as low as 6 degrees. In the morning when the world was quiet, you two went outside and played. Dad pulled the sled around over and over again with you falling off or being dragged, then running and jumping back in. You were giggling the whole time.
Your snow time ended with lots of wrestling. It seems that you always have daddy pinned in the snow. It’s hilarious to watch.
It makes my heart happy seeing you two play, laughing, and wrestling together. We love snow days, especially on a Saturday.

End of the Year FUN
I am usually really good at putting together parties for your friends. This Christmas season has just flown by. I decided it would be more fun having this after Christmas because that week gets pretty slow anyways. On Friday the 30th some of your friends come over and decorated sugar cookies.
Daddy’s work asked everyone to bring some non-perishable food to DoTERRA. You and I went to Smith’s where you picked out tooth brushes, tooth paste, granola bars, apple sauce, and crackers to give to them. Daddy came out to the car to get you and the bags. You guys ran inside to put it in the bin.
We have been going to the movies during the week after Christmas for several years and it’s the funniest tradition since we don’t actually go to the theater very often.
This time we went to the theater to see…
with Dad, Nana, Uncle Brian and Aunt Chloe. You brought your new octopus along. It was such a cute show and afterword's you couldn't wait to see it again, especially Maui the Demi God. We all came to the conclusion that we needed to go to Hawaii soon.

Christmas Day
This year's Christmas landed on a Sunday which I really liked because it helps us focus our thoughts by remembering the it's true meaning.
Christmas morning you woke up at 7 am all awake ready to go see what Santa brought. Before we headed downstairs we knelt and said a prayer.
I headed downstairs first to capture your excitement.
Santa did great this year bringing exactly what you asked for. Especially a Pikachu that talks!
Santa also brought lots of Star Wars figures and an orange chocolate ball.
It was MadCat's turn to open his stocking filled with cat toys and a new red collar with a tag.
After lots of cuddles with Daddy and Pikachu, we ate homemade cinnamon rolls. Then we got ready for church.
We had a wonderful sacrament program
Then we came home to this beauty that dad did an amazing job with. This was his most successful turkey which was juicy and full of excellent flavors. Dad took the first bite and did a happy jig . It was quite hilarious to watch and we all raved about how delicious it was. The bacon cooked atop the turkey breast was amazing.
The gravy was also very good.
While daddy was cooking you put all your new Pokémon cards away in dad’s old basketball cards binder.
About 2 pm, Uncle Brian, Aunt Chloe, Nana, and Gramps came over for a turkey dinner with sides of mashed potatoes, green beans, homemade rolls. sweet potatoes, and we can’t forget the corn bread dressing. Dessert was eggnog cake, and a pumpkin pudding cake with vanilla ice cream.
Finally about 3 pm we all gathered around in the living room and opened presents.
From mom and dad you got a Wii with different games and controllers.
MadCat joined us as well.
We gave Uncle Brian and Aunt Chloe a picture of there dog Ricky.
Nana got matching playing picture cards of you and Spencer.
Gramps was super excited to get orange Bai drinks.
Uncle Brian made rocket stoves for dad and Uncle Jason.
After 2 years of me having Brian and Chloe's engagement pictures, it was time to give them a book.
Yay! for finding Dory.
Uncle Brian showing you the treasure chest he made out of metal.
Christmas Eve had snowed a ton all throughout the day and night. It was such a magical beautiful sight.
We left our house and went over to Nana and Gramps’s to open more presents. You were tired, but still super excited to open more gifts.
Your sweet hand-writing on your card to daddy.
Your present to daddy was a lantern.
We enjoyed a wonderful Christmas, spending it with our loved ones, and we missed the Eddins very much. However, we did call them on the phone.
