Winter is coming to an end and slowly we are seeing Spring.
Heavy rain clouds over the mountains, the smell of fresh laundry air.
{Oh how I love the view from the backyard}
Tulips popping up from the thawed ground.
You went outside and instantly went running back inside yelling, “I see flowers!”
You then smelled the aroma of Spring and gently held the tulips in your hands.

Soccer game 1
You weren’t thrilled to be going to the soccer game. We told you you had 4 more weeks and then you could decide what you wanted to do.
You promptly said, “I want to do swimming lessons.”
While waiting to go back into the game you asked “When can I go back in?”
We asked you do you want to go play?
You said “No to go run.”
Over all we will call this game a success.

Furry Brother
Your and Madcat's relationship is so much fun to watch. You guys are the same age and I swear you two know what each other are thinking with out communicating. I can always find you two together or in the same room. The pictures I took were all in the month of March.
I walked in from the kitchen, found you sitting on Madcat’s tower watching T.V. and Madcat was on the couch.
Then I found you and your furry friend sitting on the stairs.
In the mornings Madcat is a very good cuddle buddy. {along with your IPad}
Madcat was curious and wanted to join the fun so he jumped onto the fence to be closer to you.
You guys stopped your game and Daddy held you up so you could pet Mr. Mad.

Shots
The day has finally come (which I never thought it would come this quick) for you to get your Kindergarten shots. We made it a big deal because getting shots isn’t so fun and you haven’t had them in a while.
Dr. Spencer has been your doctor since you were in the NICU (a couple of days old). He is the one that figured out why you weren’t eating so well, he had your tongue-tie cut so your tongue would move forward easier.
You two have always had a special bond. He is always praising you with the way you are following your own growth curve and you are always making him laugh at each appointment.
Dr. Spencer was super excited that you finally reached the curve line in weight that every other kid is on.
Yay! Everything else looked great, your eye sight, lungs, heart rate, ears, and speech.
Now on to the horrible moment especially for Mom and Dad you were a champ and did an amazing job as they stabbed you 3 times.
You walked out telling us, “I am so proud of myself for not crying.” We told you that if you would have cried you were still brave.
We went to craving cupcakes and you picked out a rainbow one with blue frosting.
Then we drove to Toys R Us to pick out a toy. We walked around the whole store twice as you carefully made a decision on an octopus, angler fish and a scuba diver. You were one happy boy.

March Happenings
Spring is all about the snail watching with Nicole, looking at worms, playing in the rain, big fluffy clouds, and beautiful blossoms.
While eating breakfast the Chappell boys came by the window to say HI. You opened the window, you guys talked for quite some time and Madcat came to see what was happening.
Waiting for Dad in the car. We laughed because you fit perfectly on the dash board.
Shopping with carts your size makes shopping more fun.
Especially when it has been pulling teeth getting you out of the house.

Skiing
Our friends the Hicks invited us to Park City to go skiing on the bunny hill. We went earlier to Sundance in January so we thought it would be a great opportunity for you to work on liking skiing.
We went on March 18, Saturday morning and the weather was 65 degree which was heavenly, but we over dressed. That probably didn’t help your mood. You weren’t thrilled with us having to go skiing again. But we talked about if you keep on trying it will get easier and a lot more fun.
Daddy held you in his arms while going down then you would go limp in his arms and he had to physically hold your whole body weight as you went down the hill.
After a couple of times doing this Dad took off his skis and walked backwards in front telling you to touch your knees and having the skis shaped like a pizza. With lots of cheering you on, it worked and you went down the hill by yourself!
We went again, Dad did the same thing you fell several times and with a sad little voice you asked, “Why do I have to fall?” Daddy answered because you have to learn to pick yourself up and keep trying. Such a tender moment making me tear up.
We left early because the more we tried the more you get frustrated and mad at us. We all decided that next year we are putting you into lessons with out Daddy.
The good out weighed the bad and we can’t wait to go again next skiing season.

Lucky Charm
The night before St. Patrick’s Day You and Daddy set up a leprechaun trap. (I didn’t get a picture).
In the morning you ran downstairs to see if he was caught. No leprechaun.
St. Patrick’s day is a holiday that we really don’t do much for so to make the day fun You and Nicole did a craft. You guys had fun painting the rainbow on canvas and gluing green pom poms on it.
You are my lucky charm and you’re the pot of gold at the end of my rainbow.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day
.
A couple of days later we did a science experiment. We lined two plates with Skittles and then poured some water in the middle of the plate. Within a couple of minutes the colors started to mix making a rainbow.

A Birthday
We celebrated Uncle Brian’s birthday with good food and cake. Brian ordered a funfetti cake with sprinkles which you helped me decorate.
As we sang we faced timed Aunt Britnie, Uncle Jason, and Spencer who live in Texas now so they could join in the celebration.
It always makes the day better when all the family is around the small kitchen table with a few extra family members, Cole, Aunt Tiny and Ashley.
Happy Happy 27th Birthday Brian!
