I had some morning sickness for Monday, I threw up twice which never happens and it happened when I was brushing my teeth and when we were heading out to the car to head to work. I was very happy that it was raining/snowing so it would just be washed away.
I have tried everything to help me not to throw up after taking a few bites of breakfast. I have tried saltine crackers before I get out of bed, juice, dry breads, dry cereal, and water. After a few minutes, I go running to the bathroom to loose my breakfast. After I have thrown up, then I am able to eat normal for the rest of the day. I am hoping that it doesn't last through out the rest of the pregnancy. I would really like to just eat my yummy breakfast with out worrying about loosing it. As I am leaning over the toilet I truly am grateful, deep down, to know that my baby is healthy and then being sick isn't that bad.
What's happening in side...
He's about the size of an avocado: 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. His legs are much more developed, his head is more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of his head. His ears are close to their final position and he's even started growing toenails.
**I only have a week and a half from knowing the gender of my BABY!!**

{16 Weeks and counting}

{15 weeks}
This week I have once again began throwing up after the first thing I eat. I have tried toast, saltine crackers with water and still everything comes up. After I throw up then I can eat my breakfast. On Friday afternoon I started to get a sore throat and not feeling well. That night we just stayed at home and relaxed. During the night I woke up with an extreme sore throat and an aching ear. Saturday morning I woke up with an achy body, stuffy nose, sore eyes, and a sore throat. The rest of the day I just rested and slept. Sunday I just slept and took it slow. It takes a lot to grow a baby. I pray everyday that my sweet little child is safe and is growing well.
How my baby's growing...
Your growing baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces. It is the size of a apple. She's busy moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. Her legs are growing longer than her arms now, and she can move all of her joints and limbs. Her eyelids are still fused shut, she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, she's likely to move away from the beam. She is also forming taste buds.

{14 Weeks}

Nothing to exciting has happened this week. Pregnancy is going well and I am feeling good. Dave is getting more and more excited about his little child. Even though he doesn't admit it, I have noticed he has been touching my belly more often and calling it the different names we have picked out. Every time he does it I am more and more excited that we are going to be parents and will be having a little child to take care of. I love my husband dearly and I know that he is going to be a wonderful father who will spoil it. He has mentioned several times that if it is going to be a boy, "I get to dress him and he is just going to look like a mini me." 9 months just can't come fast enough.
Baby's big developments...
Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb! Thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny features form one expression after another. Your baby's stretching out. From head to bottom, he measures 3 1/2 inches — about the size of a lemon — and he weighs 1 1/2 ounces. His body's growing faster than his head, which now sits upon a more distinct neck. He's starting to develop an ultra-fine, downy covering of hair, called lanugo, all over his body. Though you can't feel his tiny punches and kicks yet, your little pugilist's hands and feet (which now measure about 1/2 inch long) are more flexible and active.

Mother's Day
Saturday night my sweet husband took me out to Macaroni Grill at the Riverwoods. Came home and watched House while eating a yummy dessert we brought home with us, a Lemon Passion cake with caramel.
Sunday, I woke up with a brown box right next to me and inside were all of these lotions and hand wash. I gotta love that man, especially because the entire week leading up to Mother's Day he kept saying, oh is it Mother's Day on Sunday, and I keep telling him, it is in the U.S. but you Canadians might celebrate it some other Sunday. I wasn't expecting anything from him.
We went to Sacrament meeting and then came home so we could go to my parents house to talk to Brian since he was calling at 3pm. It was so much fun to hear his voice and to hear how his testimony has grown. He is loving every moment of his mission and is very happy. Afterwords we ate Parmesan Chicken and ate Yummy raspberry rolls form Shirley Bakery.
To our wonderful mothers:
I am truly grateful for everything you have done for me through out my life, you have kissed my scrapped knee to make them feel better, you have stayed up with me when I wasn't feeling well, you calmed my fears, you guided me and wished me the best, you loved me with a never-failing love, and you were always there to give me a listening ear.
I’ll love you forever
I’ll like you for always
For always
Together we’ll be.
Love, Stacie and David

{13 Weeks}
This week I have felt a lot of tiredness, my uterus growing, (it feels really tight and kind of like a slight cramping feeling) it is very uncomfortable. I am not constantly starving and of course I am now showing. I haven't craved anything odd like pickles and peanut butter together. I do love both, but they are separate. I have craved KFC for their greasy crispy chicken. I actually never satisfy any greasy cravings.
Last night I was pushing on my belly and I think I might have felt where the baby was lying. It was on the right side because that area felt hard and the rest of the belly was soft. Even if it wasn't it was a fun thought.
Dave and I like to talk to our little baby and he love to think that he is tickling her (or Dave is just trying to tickle me.) Yes, I said "her". I really feel that it is going to be a girl, just maybe I can beat the odds of the Sefcik male genes of getting mostly or all boys.
This is how the baby is growing...
Fingerprints have formed on your baby's tiny fingertips, her veins and organs are clearly visible through her still-thin skin, and her body is starting to catch up with her head — which makes up just a third of her body size now. It is a size of a medium shrimp and weighs nearly an ounce.
Words can't describe how much I love my unborn child, every thing I eat I think to my self, is this safe for her, and every move I make I often think oh no I hope I just didn't hurt her or in any way to make her uncomfortable. Both Dave and I are very excited but extremely scared for the day she comes into the world. We have truly loved it being just us for 4 years, but we are ready to take care of God's child and have our love grow like it never has for someone else before.
