Orem Summerfest

Saturday June 15th we took Dave to his 5K race in the morning. Came home and rested/napped.

Then at 12pm we went to the carnival. We walked around and looked at all the food choices and finally decided on a Potato Twister, brick oven pizza, twister drink and a dole whip pineapple ice cream. Which were all good.

Ryker rode his very first ride. He was a little scared at the beginning, but he held on and made no facial expression like his daddy. While he was sort of having fun, I was tearing up because my little boy is doing things on his own.  The fun lasted for about 2 hours, and he had a ton of fun trying
trying different rides.
 
 
We were near Smith’s so we headed over to get some groceries. While I was getting food, Dave took Ryker to the pet store and looked around. He was so excited to see Nemo and pet the kittens.

We came home for an hour and half and then we were off again to the Grand Parade. When we got there it was cloudy and slightly windy but as we waited for an hour the sun peaked out but still a little breezy.  Aunt Dede and Mom were there as well. (I am sad to say I didn’t get a picture of Dede.)

We have had such a long day by 7:30 Ryker gets up and lays in his wagon. Silly boy.

He did not like loud cars, motorcycles, sirens or music. Every time he heard one, he would cover his ears.

We got home about 8:30pm and put little man to bed. We had one fun filled day. We are loving Summer and trying to squeeze as much fun in as possible.

Couches

Our couches, since you were born, have been so loved. They have been spilled on with juice/milk, eaten on, been thrown up on,  peed on, laid on to watch movies, sat on for cuddles and napped on.
        

Backyard

We love having our little backyard and it’s been nice this Spring to have you old enough to go out and play.

Sandbox: We bought you this sandbox in the middle of Spring and it has kept you busy. Every time you are bored or it’s warm enough, you ask if you can go play. I open the door and watch you while I do dishes or other house work.
 

Dandelion  Picking : You  tried really hard to get the dandelion off of the stem. Only a few would end up being blown away then you would toss that one and grab a new one. I had way too much fun capturing this sweet moment. 

   
I love to watch you explore and enjoy life as a 2 year old.
