What did we do in the Summer time?

Wow, this summer has gone by way too fast. It’s sad that it’s coming to an end. We have had such a great/busy summer, here are some of what we did.
At the beginning of August, Britnie and I took the kids and went to this awesome pirate park before we took Spencer to his swimming lessons.


Ryker found out he could climb onto his chair and play with toys on the toy box.

We found out that this kid really loves to eat corn on the cob. He ate almost the whole thing!

We have been spending a lot of time at the River woods splash pad. It’s free and it’s a great way to stay cool in the 100 degree weather.


On July 3rd this hot balloon flew over our town house. It was so cool to watch it as it flew over our home.

Ryker and I would spend almost every Wednesday (with playgroup, Spencer and Britnie) at seven peaks. In August Dave bought a pass and we spent a couple of evenings and Saturdays splashing in the water and soaking  up the sun.

One evening a fire truck was down our street. We took a walk to see it up close.

We spent a lot of time outside playing at the park.

I asked Ryker to look at me and this is the face I got. This was the first time he has ever had this high of water in the bath, and he also learned  how to blow bubbles in the water.

This was on a Sunday in August, before we left for church you slipped you feet into dad’s shoes.  Ryker just woke up from a nap during church and dad put the blanket on like a cap. Ryker is walking to nursery.

These Sunflowers are out in the field outside our window. I get to enjoy looking at them everytime I go to the kitchen sink. Taking time to smell the flowers.

Ryker and I went to SLC with our friends, Halle (the little girl), Parker and Kimi. We spent the afternoon going to the Traci Aviary and watching a bird show, walking around seeing different kinds of birds, eating a snow cone, and playing at the splash park.

We saw some spectacular sun sets. We have had a lot of fires around Utah due to the dry/hot weather. We got a lot of harvest suns in the evening time.

Good bye Summer. Fall in in the air and we are ready to see what adventures it will bring.
