Thanksgiving morning at 8 am Dave, his co-worker Steve and his daughter ran the Earn your Turkey Run in Orem and placed 5th in his division.
He came home and we finished up the preparations for Thanksgiving dinner.
The MENU:
Turkey, had homemade cranberry sauce, mash potatoes, gravy, honey glazed carrots (we made), rolls from Provo bakery, sweet potato casserole and green beans.
Dessert:
Eggnog tres leches cake, and Coconut cake
The night before Ryker started to not feel well. The next morning he was doing better and was really excited to have Nana, Gramps, Ashley, Uncle Jason, Aunt Brintie and Spencer over. By 2pm Ryker was getting really sick and just when everyone was coming over. He would ask for mac and cheese but had nothing to do with it once it was in front of him. Dave was the only one that could hold him, or take of his needs. They ended up going upstairs to Rykers room and watching the I Pad while everyone was downstairs enjoying a Turkey Dinner.
Everyone left about 4 pm. All Ryker wanted was to be held and watch T.V. We put him down and he woke up with a fever/chills and was even more sick.
Friday we stayed home and watched him. He would scream when Dave (because had nothing to do with me, if I came near him he would scream/cry. He only wanted his daddy) put him down and his fever came back. By 5 pm, I knew I needed to take him to the doctors. We made the appointment for 6:15 pm and found out he had a double ear infection. Poor thing. It was such a relief to know that we could help him with some antibiotics get him feeling well again.
We had a good Thanksgiving and this year I am extra Thankful for Good Health that we all have expect for the occasional sickness.
