On Saturday January 23rd 2016 I had everyone come to my house for dinner. The house was filled with loved ones which included; Mom and Dad, Brian and Chloe, The Norcross clan, Britnie and Spencer.
We kept the tradition alive and had Grandma Von’s beans (made by mom) and Grandma Von's rolls (made by me) and for the people who don’t like beans, we had Brazilian Pork. For Dessert I made Grandma Jeans Chocolate brownies with ice cream.
January 25th, my birthday, we started the day with breakfast at Kneaders with french toast and strawberries for me, big cinnamon roll for Ryker, and ham and cheese croissant for Dave.
At 10:30 we went to Ryker’s first swim lesson. He did an excellent job listening to his teacher.
At 11:15 we drove up to Solder Hollow at Midway to go tubing for 2 hours. The hill was very foggy and actually warmer then we anticipated. We laughed, rode the rope line and went down the hill a lot!
At 2pm we were cold, tired and ready for food. We drove into town and ate at Café Galleria for pizza, pop, and hot chocolate.
Showing Dave his awesome people drawings.
At 3pm we went back up to Solider Hollow for the Ice Caves. Ryker runs in the first tunnel and yells, “I am brave, I am going in!” We were literally running trying to keep up with him for a good 45 minutes.
After an hour in the ice we drove home and rested for an hour before heading to the Macaroni Grill. We enjoyed dipping rosemary bread into olive oil and balsamic vinegar, Butternut Asiago Tortellini for me, Camela’s Chicken for Dave, and Mac and Cheese for Ryker. For dessert we ate their dreamy Lemon Passion Cake. It was the perfect dessert to a perfect Birthday.
This is by far one of the best birthdays. I absolutely loved spending it with all the people I love, but spending all day with my handsome husband, and sweetest boy. I couldn’t have asked for anything more that day. Bring it on 30!
