We were happy to find out that we were able to get tickets to Hogle Zoo's free day. We met up with Ami and Vincent at the Zoo about 11 am. The weather was freezing. We had a beautiful couple of days before and then fall hit overnight. We were all bundled up with hats, sweaters and explored the Zoo.
We stopped to have lunch shortly after we got there while we waited for our other friends Halle and Parker.
While we were waiting we had a female peacock and chicken come visit.
We saw Lions;
Aunt Britnie has a picture when she was your age drinking from this same Lion drinking fountain and I had to get one too.
Ami’s sweet grandma is helping you.
Elephants. I absolutely love this picture because it is capturing your pure joy when the elephant sprayed you.
Such majestic creatures. These are one of my favorite animals.
Left to Right; You, Parker, Ami and Vincent
Eagles. Being little Eaglets.
Looking for the Polar Bear. It wasn’t outside, it was pacing inside waiting to be fed.
We had fun watching the active Seals.
You are such a cute baby seal.
Waiting for the seals to come back around.
This is another one of my favorite picture.
A Leopard.
Zebras.
My handsome boy. I just love this hat on you.
and finally we ended our zoo day watching these graceful Giraffes walk around.
There was a lady talking about Giraffes and we learned that there hearts are as big as a basket ball.
Me: What was your favorite animal at the zoo today?
You: The Giraffes, because they have "yong" necks and a big heart.
We had such a fun time looking at some of what God’s beautiful creations; the animals. We can’t wait to go back again soon.
