The morning of Pioneer day we went to our ward’s Sourdough Pancake Breakfast at Hillcrest park while daddy went for a long run. Afterwards, you and I hurried to the store to pick up a birthday present and headed over to your friend Quentin's birthday party. In the evening we had Ruy (Dad’s friend), Nana, and Gramps, Chloe, and Brian over for bratwursts, chips, and corn on the cob.
After dinner, while Nana and I did some yard work and you played with some friends, the rest of the family watched 3 hours of Batman V Superman: Uncut.
Our Neighbors the Chappell's invited us to their backyard for a live concert while the kids played.
Once it got dark we joined our neighbors in lighting there Chinese lantern (very cool to watch as it gracefully going up into the sky- very magical), and firework party.
We are grateful for all the Pioneer’s who followed the prophet and took the journey to Salt Lake. “Although they were uncertain of the future, they were certain of their faith.” –William R. Walker
