The 4th

We had a wonderful 4th of July. Great Nana was visiting from Texas so Uncle Brian, Aunt Chloe, Aunt Britine, Uncle Jason, and Spencer came to spend the day with us. The 4th would not be complete without  hamburgers, bratwursts, asparagus, chips, and pasta salad.  For dessert we ate Blueberry crème pie with vanilla ice cream.

The rest of the day there was ping pong downstairs and upstairs there was talking and listening to Great Nana tell her life stories.

You two disappeared and I found you in the hot shade melting. I asked what you guys were doing and you both replied, “waiting for it to get dark so we can do fireworks.”

In the meantime you guys put in an order for popcorn and ice cold water.

Finally the time had come to set off fireworks.
You were being silly while waiting for dad to get everything organized.

Today we celebrate our freedoms and this beautiful land we live in.  “Freedom ain’t something we got free. Somebody paid the price for life and liberty.” – Song Freedom Sure ain’t free-
