On Monday October 3rd, we went to the opening of the Orchard playground at the University Mall. You and Nicole had a blast exploring the playground area. You guys also got a bag full of goodies and inside was a small key chain build a bear soccer bear.
Then we adventured over to the petting zoo where you guys got to pet a pig, a ferret, a chinchilla, a huge bunny, a fox, a hedgehog, and a turtle. This is one of the many reason I choose to homeschool.
Thursday October 6th, we had another fun adventure with our friends the Hicks at the First Responding Day. You absolutely loved doing the Firefighter obstacle course.
You had to climb the wall then
l
pull the dummy across the grass and step in between the ladder
Then run over to spray water at the burning building
and finally climb the ladder to save the cat. You did this over and over again.
Then I pulled you away so you could take a breather and we went over to the police station where you learned why the Police Motorcycle is different from the car.
You also learned the correct way to walk across the street
And for accomplishing the task you got a safety activity book and a Police badge sticker
Kari Lynn, Desmond and us went in the mall to the food court and grabbed some chick-fil-a chicken nuggets and went back just in time to watch the Firefighters drop pumpkins off the top of the ladder.
The end result
Before leaving we examined the Fire truck and saw all the interesting buttons and the huge tires!
What a fun couple of days exploring our community.
