{11 and 12 Weeks}

Overall, this week has been pretty good. My nausea is subsiding. I am still having heart burn and I am constantly tired. Some days I will wake up at 6:45am and by 8:30 I am exhausted. During work, on my lunch brake I would go and sleep in the back room with our sleeping kids for a half hour. When I wake up, I feel even more tired and ready for a 2nd nap.

What the little thing is up to...
It is just over 1 1/2 inches long and about the size of a fig, and is now almost fully formed. Its already busy kicking and stretching, and it's tiny movements are so effortless they look like water ballet.

I am now at 12 weeks and it has been a hard week. Monday morning I wake up and I had barely any energy. At 7:30am I was on the coach taking a nap. I woke up at 8:30am to take my hubby to work and I was still feeling like a snail. I came home and crashed on the coach. I thought to my self, "If I feel better around lunch time I will go to work." But as the day went by I was exhausted by just lying there. I ended up taking another nap and relaxing on the couch. I really believe that my sweet little baby was telling me to slow down, you over did it during the weekend and you need to take care of me. I have learned my lesson and I will take it slow.

On Tuesday I went to work, but around 10:30am I started to notice that my stomach was cramping and it felt really tight. I got scared so I called my OB/GYN and they made an apt. for 2:10pm. When I started to tell Pat and Dana (ladies I work with) about what was going on I started to cry and the thought ran though my head that it was the start of me losing the baby. My mom came with me to the doctor and the doctor mentioned that my urine test came back negative for a urine tract infection. She then said that all I was feeling was my uterus growing for my growing baby. It is a common feeling and she said that if bleeding was to happen and constant cramping, than that is when I should call and go in. I got to hear the babies heart beat again and that definitely reassured me that everything was fine with me and my baby. This time the heart beat was at 160 beats per minute.
After the apt. mom and I went and got Sub Zero Ice Cream.

The rest of the week I have taken it slow and I have been constantly tired. But that comes from carrying another person in me.

Hows the baby growing...
The most dramatic development this week: reflexes. Your baby's fingers will soon begin to open and close, his toes will curl, his eye muscles will clench, and his mouth will make sucking movements. In fact, if you prod your abdomen, your baby will squirm in response, although you won't be able to feel it. The eyes have moved from the sides to the front of his head, and his ears are right where they should be. It is the size of a lime and it weighs half an ounce.
