{Sick Days}

You have been sick with teething which makes your nose run and a nasty diarrhea, it was so acidy that it ate away some of your skin and made a nickel sized open wound on your bottom. Every time you would go, you would tense up and cry, it broke my heart watching you. I called Gramps and asked what I should do to help and he mentioned putting Neosporin and a band aide over the wound.  It helped quite a bit, but over a couple of days you were getting a nasty diaper rash and A&D cream wasn't helping. I called a nurse and she said they wanted to see the wound so they could tell if it was getting infected. That afternoon we went to Alpine Pediatrics to see a doctor, she said that your sore looked great and I needed to get Calmoseptine cream that can go over the wound and rash and to alternate with Neosporin to keep any infection away.

I would let you run naked to air out the wound. I was taking a huge risk letting you free like that but you did really well with out any accidents on the carpet. You are watching Clifford the Big Red Dog and I love the way you wanted to follow daddy around the house.

Over the next few days the Calmoseptine Cream did wonders and your rash went away and the wound healed.  It’s so hard to see you sick.
