Happy Mother’s Day

Dave and Ryker let me sleep in until 8 a.m. and when I awoke, Ryker handed me a card with a map to where my gift was.

Ryker was such a great helper leading me to the right toy bin where the Ms. Cavanagh's dark chocolate and this adorable note was.
I absolutely love what he wrote. It’s exactly what I do each and every day and I wouldn’t change a thing because I get to be a mom.

I made French Toast with homemade Vanilla Buttermilk Syrup, strawberries, and orange juice.
At church the primary children got up and sang during sacrament meeting.  As they sang, I focused  just on Ryker’s sweet little glowing face bringing tears to my eyes knowing that he is mine and how lucky I am to have him.
At 5 p.m. Nana and Gramps, and Brian and Chloe came over to eat stuffed shells, garlic bread, strawberry salad, and coconut cake.
I always enjoy having my family over for dinner and visiting with them.
Nana worked with Ryker and he drew a picture of me with pastels using all of my favorite colors.

Shortly after my parents left my dad calls me and apologizes that he never actually wished me a Happy Mother’s Day. He told me that I am a wonderful Mother to Ryker,  a wonderful person, and that he loves me. I was holding back tears; that meant so much to me.
While I put Ryker to bed he leans over, looks at me and says, “Mommy, did you have a good Mother’s Day?’ Oh my that made my whole day. “I sure did because you made it special for me, I love you.” “I love you too, mommy.”
