Orem fest Run

This is Dave's 4th race. Dave ran the Orem Summerfest Fire Deportment 5K. 
The morning was cold and windy and we weren’t prepared with jackets. I am glad I took a blanket and he curdled up under it while I was waiting for Dave to finish.
      
It finally warmed up and while we were waiting for the results, they had games for the little kids.

They were having some technical difficulties with the printer and computer so they only announced the top runners. They never put up the results online so we don’t know how well he did. He ran it in 22 minutes which is his best time for a 5K race.

He makes me proud every time I see him cross the finish line. With each race he is getting faster and he runs 6 times a week to train. I am so glad that he enjoys it and all I can do is be there to support him.
